Upcoming Show - Marjorie (Margie) Mauldin!
March is International Listening Awareness Month! In recognition of this, our guest for this Saturday, March 10 is Marjorie (Margie) Mauldin - author of "Feedback Revolution: Building Relationships and Boosting Results." As human beings, we use feedback to gauge conversations and assess how others are feeling. It can range from a simple nod to a detailed explanation. Feedback is important in many areas of life, but especially in the workplace. On an interview, a candidate may draw conclusions about their performance based on the interviewer's verbal and nonverbal feedback. Similarly, an employee might receive positive or negative feedback from a supervisor - to which they will probably adjust their behavior. On Saturday, Margie will discuss the fundamentals of feedback. She will explain the importance of developing a "feedback zone," thinking before giving feedback, learning effectiveness, asking permission, following up, and following through. Effective feedback - such as on performance reviews - can lead to improved performance results. Tune in to hear more on 89.5 FM WSOU at 8:30am!
