Upcoming Show - Dr. Larry Greene!
Join us on 89.5 WSOU this Saturday, February 24 at 8:30am for a special show in recognition of Black History Month! Our guest, Dr. Larry Greene, is a professor in the Department of History at Seton Hall University. On Saturday, Dr. Greene will discuss the origins of Black History Month, and identify individuals who are celebrated due to their outstanding contributions to the workplace. He will dive into the significance of diversity in the workplace - which includes but is not limited to - the sharing of ideas, higher levels of creativity, aided understanding, and increased inclusiveness amongst individuals. Many colleges and universities currently offer courses which intertwine African American history with United States History. Seton Hall in particular now offers an undergraduate Bachelor of Arts degree in Africana Studies - showing how very important this topic is. Tune in this weekend for this special show!
