Tune in October 8 at 8:30 A.M. to hear Bob Franco - career coach, professor, conference leader and author - discuss the transitions it takes for individuals and professional organizations to make real and efficient positive change from the inside out. The program will focus on job seeking skills and what it means to deal with change and transitions from the context of inside a business or looking for a job. The points to look out for include the way that people and companies market themselves in an ever-changing professional environment. Franco will note the importance of strategic planning for both businesses and individuals by touching on personal anecdotes about the coaching work that he does in Seton Hall's Career Center and the leadership he recently brought to a local basketball league. A graduate of Rutgers College and Stevens Institute of Technology, Franco has been highlighted in The Innovation Superhighway (Debra Amidon); Leverage Points (Pegasus Communications) and the Downtown Business Quarterly (Institute for Business Trends Analysis). He has appeared in interviews on WABC-TV, AOL Jobs, NJ-12, WalletHub, and NerdWallet. Franco mentors undergraduates and graduate students as well as alumni in his work in the Career Center at Seton Hall. He serves as an adjunct professor in the College of Communication and The Arts, teaching four leadership-oriented courses: "Writing for the Organization and Client," "Effective Presentations," "Leading Organizational Transformation" and Strategic Communication Planning." He also delivers a Leadership Summit for graduate students. Franco came to the Seton Hall Career Center with a background as a Senior Human Resources Generalist with varied corporate experience including American Express, Novartis, Automatic Data Processing and Community Education Centers. This achieved businessman is also the author of two recent books, "Corporate Storyteller: The Art of Noticing Things" (2015) and "Sidelines" (2016), which are both available on Amazon.
